Spring 2010- ended fertility medication and decided definitely that we would build our family through adoption
Summer 2010- thought we would adopt from Russia and announced our adoption plans to family; waiting for finances to improve
January 2012- decided to adopt from Africa

April 3, 2012- Applied to our international adoption agency to adopt from the Democratic Republic of Congo
April 13, 2012- accepted into agency's DRC program
April 16, 2012- applied to home study agency
May 2, 2012- mailed contract and fees to international adoption agency
May 10, 2012- attended home study orientation webinar
May 30, 2012- mailed out home study fees
June 4, 2012- first home study visit
June 19, 2012- fingerprints done for home study
June 21, 2012- physical exams for home study
July 21, 2012- family training for home study
August 7, 2012- second home study visit
August 10, 2012- third home study visit
August 17, 2012- online training classes (finished training requirements for home study)
September 4, 2012- home study "complete"
October 26, 2012- received home study report (but it was not approved by our international agency)
December 15, 2012- Received approved home study report!
December 28, 2012- mailed out I-600A form to USCIS
January 8, 2013- USCIS received our I-600A
                            Our dossier paperwork is entirely compiled
January 16, 2013- mailed out dossier for state certification
January 29, 2013- received our state certified dossier in the mail
January 31, 2013- USCIS fingerprints (in Spokane)
February 11, 2013- mailed our complete, state- certified dossier to our agency
February 17, 2013- Received I-171H (approval of I-600A)
February 19, 2013- Received referral for Baby Boy!
February 28, 2013- mailed out referral acceptance & fees
March 7, 2013- Dossier translated into French
March 14, 2013- Dossier sent to the Democratic Republic of Congo
March 15, 2013- received home study addendum
April 8, 2013- Received updated I-171H
April 18, 2013- Adoption approved in DRC court
May 14, 2013- mailed immigration paperwork (I-600, etc.) to agency
May 30,2013- Vaccinations (Yellow Fever, Typhoid, Hepatitis A)
June 6,2013- I-600 received at USCIS lockbox
July 1, 2013- I-600 Approved
October 28, 2013- US Embassy Investigation complete!
November 18, 2013- Roland's visa appointment
November 19, 2013- Roland's visa issued
January 2, 2014- Hepatitis A booster shot
March 31, 2014- USCIS fingerprints re- done
August 19, 2014- Roland's visa re- issued
December 13, 2015- Gotcha Day! Roland finally came home!
March 22, 2016- Roland's re- adoption in Idaho
